This solid aluminum handle with knurling has a very comfortable grip. This hefty handle (weight about 1 1/2 lb. vs. about 1/2 lb. for a similar ash handle) provides stability while turning large bowls. By using the supplied bushings (2) you can use tools with 3/8" and 1/2" diameter and with no bushing it can accommodate a 5/8" diameter tool. Various unhandled tools such as hollowing tools and carbide tipped tools will fit this handle. The tool is held firmly by the use of two allen screws. After using this handle you will not want to go back to a wooden one. |
